Term 1 Connected Learning
This term inspired by the Great Wave woodcut by Hokusai we are examining more famous art works inspired by waves. We are diving into water based texts for English writing and reading. We are also examining more famous artistic waves in Art, learning different techniques from the works of David Hockney, JMW Turner and Alfred Hair. Our Art and English is taking us all over the world, so in Geography we are becoming more familiar with Atlases and the location of different countries around the world. For Science we are focussing much closer to home and diving inside our bodies, exploring how animal bodies work and what they need to thrive.
For the second part of the term we will completing Missions that give us the opportunities to apply our newly learned skills to practical problems and to delve further into knowledge we have been gaining in different areas.
