Term 3 Key Information
- We have indoor PE on a Wednesday morning and Forest School (on the school site) on a Thursday afternoon.
- Friday 9th January at 2.05pm - Hazel celebration worship.
- Thursday 15th January - JWS Got Talent auditions for Year 1 and 2. More info to follow.
- Wednesday 28th January 3.20-3.40pm - 'Pop in Wednesday' for parents to see children's books.
- Monday 2nd February - Kindness Month starts at JWS.
- Monday 9th-13th February - Children's Mental Health Week.
- Thursday 12th February - JWS Got Talent finals show to parents at 6.30pm. More info to follow.
- Friday 13th February - Term 3 ends.
Term 3 Connected Learning
In Term 3 (and continuing into Term 4) we will be trying to answer a new big question which is 'What would you put in your own museum?'
In Geography we will look at hot and cold areas of the world and learn about both the equator and the poles. We will also look at the difference between human and physical features on a local map.
In Science we will be looking at everyday materials and learning to distinguish between objects and the materials from which they are made.
In DT we will be making an animal mask using a selection of tools and materials. In Art lessons we will be creating musical sculptures.
In PSHE, we will look at keeping ourselves safe and healthy.
Finally, in ICT we will be learning about how to represent data, understanding data and data analysis.
