BRP
BRP stands for Better Reading Partnerships. This intervention focuses on reading support for those children who need to boost their reading skills. The sessions are roughly 15 minutes per session and take place 3 times a week.
Children are assessed prior to the intervention and are then placed onto a reading level (please note that these levels are different to those in the Oxford Reading Tree levels and Accelerated Reader levels).
The child will read a new book at each session and they will then take this book home to read with you. It is expected that your child reads this book with you after each session.
Typically, this intervention runs for 10 weeks. By the end of the 10-week period your child would have read: 30 books new books and have read 60 times in total.
