Food & More

School dinners

Our school dinners are cooked on the premises.  The kitchen team is led by our Kitchen  Manager, Mrs Heather Swaffer. The kitchen has a Food Hygiene rating of 5 stars. The menu is regularly changed with a wide selection of fresh produce and caters for children with all allergies and dietary requirements. The cost of a two-course meal with a choice of additional salad and bread is £2.30 per day or £11.50 per week.

Please pay for all School Meals online using our cashless payment system on Arbor.

Packed Lunches

If your children do not want to eat a hot meal at midday then they can bring in a packed lunch from home. Please see the attached documents for ideas.

Free Fruit and Vegetable Scheme

All children in KS1 will be offered a free piece of fruit or a vegetable as part of the government scheme. This reinforces our commitment to healthy eating and will hopefully encourage the children to enjoy or at least try a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Fruit Trolley

Our Kitchen staff will be offering fruit at break-time to all Key Stage 2 children. The charge of each piece of fruit will be 20p. This is in line with our expectation that break-time snacks should be a piece of fruit or a vegetable snack e.g. carrot sticks.

Cool Milk

We are part of the Cool Milk Scheme, if you are interested in your child receiving daily milk please contact the school office for a form or alternatively you can log on to their website for further information www.coolmilk.com.

Drinking Water

As part of our Healthy Eating initiative, we encourage each child in the school to bring in water in a clear plastic, named water bottle. The bottles will be kept in the classroom and the children can have access to them throughout the day. This will ensure that the children are well hydrated which will help with their learning. There are also drinking fountains in the classrooms.
