Miss Krawiec is our Family Liaison Officer (FLO) at The John Wesley CEMP School. Her job is to help support parents, carers and their children to ensure that the children flourish.

Her aims are to:

• Empower parents/carers to take an active role in their child’s social, emotional and educational development
• Offer referral routes for parents via the school
• Support parents regarding a range of issues that could impact on their ability to parent effectively
• Provide a range of activities for parents that encourage them to be safe and healthy, to enjoy and achieve, to make a positive contribution and to achieve economic well-being encourage good relations and effective dialogue between parents and teachers about a child’s progress

 
Miss K can help in many ways, some of which are listed below, as all children have problems from time to time and she will work impartially and confidentially to provide a listening ear if you ever need advice or support:

• Information sharing
• Point of contact for children and parents
• Behaviour management groups
• Social skills awareness groups
• Liaise with school staff on your behalf
• Personal hygiene/nutrition advice
• Support for children suffering family break-up and bereavement
• Liaise with outside agencies
• Provide a shoulder in time of need
• Debt and drug abuse information
• Assist with poor behaviour and attendance issues
• General assistance with childcare related issues
• Help accessing services in the local area
• Parent coffee mornings
• Parenting workshops
